Is my data safe during app updates?

Yes — Yoman automatically protects your journal entries across all app updates. Your data is versioned and backed up locally so it survives every update seamlessly.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

Uninstalling Yoman will permanently delete all your local data. Always export a backup before uninstalling using the Export button in the Today screen.

How do I back up my data?

Scroll to the bottom of the Today screen and tap Export Backup. This saves a file to your device that can be imported back into Yoman at any time.

Does Yoman require an account or internet connection?

No account is required. Yoman works offline for all tracking and journaling features. Your data never leaves your device. Prayer resource links require an internet connection to access external prayer texts from Chabad.org and Sefaria.

We have no access to your data. Your data never leaves your device.

Location

If you enable location services for zmanim-based prayer time reminders, your location is used exclusively on your device to calculate local prayer times. Your location data is never transmitted to us or any third party.

If you enable push notifications, these are managed entirely by your device's operating system. We do not collect or store any notification-related data.

Children's Privacy

Yoman does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no advertising and requires no personal information.
